The Southeast TGV line was reopened to trains traffic this Tuesday evening around 8:45 p.m. As a reminder, the railway axis has been closed to all oars traffic since 3:30 p.m. due to a fire near the tracks in the Roquemaure sector (Gard) and not far from Avignon, high -speed trains to Avignon, Aix and Marseille were mostly stopped. The whole Southeast was affected by the TGV traffic, in both directions, up to the Vaucluse.

At least a dozen trains have been deleted, reports the station site and connections. This is confirmed by the SNCF which has set up a crisis cell. Other trains have been deported to the classic path. An alternative which has the advantage of allowing TGV to continue their journey but which has the lack of causing very significant delays (from 20 minutes to 2:50).

TGVs have even turned around. Some, leaving from Marseille, towards the North, had to turn back towards the Saint-Charles station in order to reorient themselves on the classic line. The public company does not plan to return to normal for this Tuesday evening.
According to the site from here (former France Bleu), important resources, materials and humans, were sent to the fire zone. The flames have already traveled no less than two hectares.
It is advisable to find out about your TGV if you take the train in the coming hours.
