Beyond a salary increase, the navigating staff of the Canadian airline also claims to be remunerated for working hours, including when boarding, which has not been the case so far.
Seven hundred flights canceled
In response, Air Canada, which directly serves 180 cities around the world, has announced that they “Suspended all its operations”or 700 flights scheduled for this Saturday, at the expense of around 130,000 passengers. The SCFP having filed a strike notice of sixty-two on Wednesday, the company had already announced the cancellation of nearly 300 flights on Friday.
