Thousands of Air Canada on-board agents will rule on or against the strike in the early afternoon on Monday, in the heart of the construction holidays.
“The strike of the Air Canada component will start at 2:00 p.m. (HAE) on July 28, 2025 and end at 2:00 p.m. on August 5, 2025,” said the Canadian Public Service Syndicate (SCFP) on its social networks.
If on-board agents take the way to the strike, it could be launched around August 20.
In a union campaign, the pilots support not be paid enough. They find it difficult to have to be stationed for long hours of affiliate without being remunerated at the height.
“Normal process”
In a short reaction last Friday, Air Canada, for its part, minimizes the impact of the union threat that hovers over its head.
“This kind of vote is part of the normal negotiation process and does not necessarily mean that a disturbance will occur,” insists the company.
“Air Canada maintains its commitment to the negotiation process and is fully prepared to work at the conclusion of a fair and fair convention with the SCFP,” says the employer.
