Air Transat said on Thursday that it will offer 14 new links, including seven from Quebec, this winter.

Among the new features, the airline announced non -stop flights from Toronto and Montreal to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This new destination will be served in Airbus A330 twice a week from Toronto and once a week from Montreal.
From Montreal, new direct links to Guadalajara, Valence, Bordeaux and Madrid will enrich the transatlantic offer. From Quebec, travelers will also be able to go to Fort-de-France in Martinique, or Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe.
On the Toronto side, from thefts to Georgetown (Guyana), Medellín and Istanbul, were also added.
“By targeting markets that we have never served before, we are betting on a clear diversification strategy towards markets where Canadians want to go, supported by increased connectivity thanks to our growing basin of partners,” said Sebastian Ponce, chief executive officer at Transat, by press release.
