European, American and Asian airlines have suspended or reduced their rotations to the Near and the Middle East, due to the conflict between Israel and Iran and American bombing on this last country.
(Keystone-ATS) This entry of Washington into the conflict, launched a week earlier by Israel against Iran, has feared reprisals against American interests in the Middle East, in particular military bases located in the Gulf Monarchies.
EUROPE
The service by Air France of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates is suspended at least until Tuesday included, the French airline announced on Monday, which also extended the suspension of the Paris-Tel Aviv line until July 14 inclusive.
Flights to Beirut and Tel Aviv operated by Transavia, the “low cost” of the Air France-KLM group, are suspended respectively until June 30 and September 7, including a company spokesperson on AFP on Monday.
British Airways, who had canceled its flights on Sunday between London Heathrow and Dubai and Doha, after the United States of nuclear sites in Iran, on Monday, said on Monday plan to operate its “normally” rotations.
On June 18, the German group Lufthansa, which also included the Swiss, Austrian and Ita companies, had announced an extension of its flight suspensions to the Near and the Middle East, notably towards Beirut, until June 30, as well as Amman and Erbil (Iraq) until July 11.
The services of Tel Aviv and Tehran are suspended at least until July 31, while the group said that its planes would not borrow the airspace of the countries concerned by the conflict.
The Greek company Aegean Airlines canceled all its flights to Tel Aviv until July 12, and all its rotations towards Beirut, Amman and Erbil (Iraq) until June 28.
In Türkiye, the Pegasus company indicated to suspend all its flights to Iran until July 30 and to Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon until June 30. On the Turkish Airlines side, according to the site of Istanbul airport, the company has served Amman in recent days. On the other hand, all flights to Baghdad and Damascus remain canceled and none is available for purchase to Tehran before July 1.
NORTH AMERICA
United Airlines warned its clients that the planned flights of and to Dubai between June 18 and July 3 could be “assigned”, and offered its customers an exchange of tickets without additional cost under certain conditions, due to “troubles in the Middle East”.
The American company had taken the same measure for Tel Aviv, from June 13 to August 1, with the possibility of choosing another destination from major cities in Europe.
Air Canada has announced that it has “temporarily suspended” its Dubai direct daily service from Toronto from June 18 and warned that it could be led to extend this suspension. Traveling with a stopover in Europe via a third -party company remains possible, according to its online booking tool.
American Airlines, for its part, authorized its customers to modify their reservations to Doha freely for trips initially scheduled from June 19 to July 20.
ASIA
Singapore Airlines said it had canceled eight flights to Dubai, two every day from Sunday to Wednesday. “The situation remains moving and other flights (of the company) between Singapore and Dubai could be assigned,” warned the carrier on his website.
