300,000 euros of missing jewelry: a couple victim of a flight aboard a TGV between Aix-en-Provence and Paris

A high value. A couple was the victim of a jewelry flight worth 300,000 euros during a train journey between Aix-en-Provence and Paris, indicates a police source to the Parisian this Wednesday, confirming information from BFMTV.

The man, a French entrepreneur, and his wife, Canadian, traveled in first class with a Louis Vuitton bag, which housed “several jewelry and watches of major brands under their passenger headquarters”. “During the trip, the complainant would have felt several movements of the bag, but did not pay attention to it,” says the same source.

It was by arriving in Avignon that another passenger launched the alert. She reported to the two travelers that two other people sitting behind them had “suspicious behavior” during the train journey. Photos of these individuals were taken during the facts.

A possible complaint against SNCF

It was there that the entrepreneur and his wife found that their jewelry and their watches had disappeared. “The husband tried to find the alleged perpetrators, they had already left the train, who had resumed his journey,” explains the police source.
