At 15, Sereyleapphea ngeth becomes the first runner -up of the Miss Teen Quebec 2025 competition, a first for a participant of Asian origin.
The Miss Teen Quebec competition is much more than just beauty competition. It values intelligence, public ease, personality and commitment of teenage girls from 13 to 19 years old across Quebec.
Each edition allows young girls to shine on stage while developing their confidence, leadership spirit and authenticity.
The 2025 edition, of which the grand finale took place on Sunday May 18, in Brossard, brought together many talented participants.
Among them, a lavalloise stood out brilliantly.
Remarkable ascent
Sereyleapphea NGETH, who started his very first experience in this environment last December during the semi-final, chose to continue the adventure to the final.
She not only finished first runner -up there, but also received the favor of the public.
“I was among the finalists at the semi-final in December 2024,” she confides, visibly proud of the path traveled. I am really happy and at the same time honored to be the first girl of Asian origin to reach this level in the history of this competition. ”
Conscious preparation
With a better knowledge of the process, the young Lavalloise approached this second step with more insurance.
“A few weeks before the grand final, we met and we were told how it was going to take place,” she says. We were asked questions and it was decisive to gain the favor of the public. ”
This time, Sereyleapphea arose more confident, prepared and anchored in her vision of herself.
Discover yourself
Between the first step and the second, the change is notable. She has grown up internally and developed a better awareness of her capacities.
“It allowed me to know myself a little more, to discover who I am actually,” she said with maturity. A motivated young girl, safer of herself and able to surpass herself. ”
Shared pride
His title of first runner -up is much more than a personal reward. He sparked a wave of pride around him.
“It is an element of great pride in being able to finish first runner-up of this great competition,” she testifies with gratitude. It stimulated me and pushes me to believe much more in me. My friends, family and teachers also at school … They were all happy. ”
Striking moments
Among the significant moments of this edition, it mainly retains the interview, a crucial passage of the competition.
“I was asked a question in French, and it was decisive for the future,” she says with pride. It requires a little general culture, but I myself stayed throughout the competition. ”
She also remembers with emotion the exchanges she had with another participant.
“There was a daughter called Louna, she was 19 years old and was in the adult category. We were talking often, I loved his open -minded spirit and his very friendly side. ”
Personal mission
Sereyleapphea ngeth did not wear specific cause this year, but above all she wanted to highlight her authentic personality.
“I just wanted to show who I am, and inspire other girls to do the same. What I learned in this competition, I will be able to transmit it differently. ”
Sustainable lessons
From this experience, she retains great life lessons.
“I learned to be sure of myself, to face the challenges, to create more connections with others.”
If she could speak to the one she was a year earlier, she would simply say to him.
“Do it. Take risks. That risks nothing has nothing. Even if you don’t win, you go with an experience that boosts you for the future. ”
Building influence
Far from stopping there, the young Lavalloise has ideas in her head. She now dreams of becoming a content creator on Instagram and using her voice to motivate others.
“I had already started interviewing people in school, and it really made me want to go further. I will make videos where I question people on rewarding subjects. I’m very passionate about it. “
Priority to studies
Despite its ambitions, it remains focused on its school objectives. She will soon leave the Mont-de-Lasalle school, where she was in the learning class, to integrate semi-specialized business training.
“I’m going to focus on my studies, it’s important. And the competition helped me be more sociable at school too. ”
Other competitions?
At 15, Sereyleapphea does not immediately project herself into other competitions, but she does not exclude returning to the stage one day.
“Yes of course. But not immediately. I will wait to be of age. I have a very promising future in front of me. ”
