Canada condemns Israel for the death of journalists

Anand on Tuesday signed a joint declaration with around twenty foreign ministers from Europe, Asia and Australia, saying that humanitarian suffering in the enclave already reach “unimaginable levels”.

Israel denies the widespread allegations according to which famine is raging in the Palestinian territory, in a context of strict controls on the aid entering the territory and the methods of distribution of food.

“Unacceptable”

This statement comes one day after Ottawa condemned the murder by the Israeli army of a journalist fromAl Jazerarejecting the Israeli allegations that he directed a Hamas cell.

Anas Al-Sharif was an eminent journalist of the channel, and Canada believes that his assassination, as well as that of five other journalists in the Gaza Strip, by Israel, is unacceptable.

Israel prohibits entry into the area to foreign journalists not integrated into the Israeli army, a practice that the Committee for the Protection of Journalists considers unprecedented in modern times.
