The LIDAR is a laser remote sensing technology that makes it possible to model a 3D environment with extreme precision.
This strategic acquisition is part of the Drone Volt growth dynamic, which intends to strengthen its expertise on segments with very high added value. The company bought by Drone Volt has established itself in recent years as a benchmark player in LIDAR, with multidisciplinary activities: provision of airborne services by drone, sale of hardware and software, as well as specialized business training. Like Drone Volt, it has qualiopi certification, a national reference in terms of vocational training.
As part of this operation, a highly qualified team joins the collective
DRONE VOLT EXPERT
the Drone Volt division dedicated to services by drone.
The Lidar embedded by Drone, a technology with high added value
The LIDAR (Light Detection and Raning) is a laser remote sensing technology that makes it possible to obtain digital models of complex, natural or urban environments, with a very large resolution. Associated with a GNSS system and an inertial power station, it generates high density points, exploitable for mapping, topography, regional planning, inspection or 3D modeling.
Today, Lidar by Drone and associated data processing is opening considerable perspectives. This approach is particularly promising for civil operators, but also for advanced industrial uses, whether autonomous vehicles or major infrastructure sites.
A high impact acquisition for Drone Volt
Thanks to this integration, Drone Volt strengthens its offer at three levels:

: This acquisition will allow LIDAR systems to be integrated into drones in the Drone Volt range, in particular the
COBRA
to respond to the most specific customer requests. -
Services
: LIDAR solutions can now be offered to the entire customers of
DRONE VOLT EXPERT
in France and internationally. -
Consolidation of a network of experts in the national network
: A LIDAR (external) telepilot network, strengthens the Network of Drone Volt Ambassadors experts, with a unique know-how in terms of LIDAR capture, processing and exploitation.
