Gabriel Dumitr appointed Director of the HE-Arc Engineering Domaine

The Haute École Arc (HE-Arc) is experiencing a change at the head of its engineering field. In a statement sent Tuesday by the institution, it is announced that Gabriel Dumitru will lead this sector in February 2026. This appointment was ratified by the School Strategic Committee, chaired by the Jura Minister Martial Courtet.

Current Chief Technology Officer From Boegli-Gravures SA in Marin, Dumitru has solid experience at the interface between industry and Hautes écoles. Doctor of micro-user from the University of Bern, he also taught at ETH Zurich and the specialized high school in northwestern Switzerland (FHNW), where he coordinated advanced continuous training.

A profile between industry and academy

The future director has held several management positions in the BCI Blösch group in Granges. In particular, there is managed restructuring and piloted teams. At the origin of a professional network that has become swissphotonics, he helped to unite high schools and businesses in the sector, representing a market of three billion francs.

“His varied experience and management style are precious assets for the development of the engineering field,” said Martial Courtet. The State Councilors and members of the HE-Arc Chrystel Graf strategic committee of Neuchâtel and Christine Häsler of Bern share this appreciation.

For his part, Gabriel Dumitru said he was “impatient to put the multiplicity of his experiences for the benefit of HE-Arc in order to contribute to the development of engineering in the region”.
