Minister Israel Katz “approved the Israeli army attack plan in Gaza-Ville”, the largest in the Palestinian territory in the North, the ministry told AFP.
Mr. Katz also “approved the issue of reminder orders for reservists necessary to carry out the mission” for around 60,000 men.
The Minister has also approved “humanitarian preparations for evacuation” of the populations of the city of Gaza.
Israel said in early August in early August to take control of Gaza-Ville and neighboring refugee camps with the aim of defeating Hamas and released hostages removed during the attack on the Palestinian Islamist movement of October 7, 2023 which sparked the war.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced at the end of last week that he had adopted this new plan, approved by his security firm, for this new phase of operations in the Gaza Strip.
