Google publishes new updates for Pixel devices with promises to correct the rear gesture and dark mode

Google now deploys its monthly update for regularly supported Pixel devices. Available from the Pixel 6 series, the “BP2A” builds are also available on the devices located outside Google’s conventional names, such as the Pixel tablet (currently $ 379 on Amazon).

In short, this month’s update does not contain new features. Google tends to reserve them for pixel feature drops. However, BP2A versions contain fixes for some notable bugs that existed in previous software. For example, this month’s patch corrects the defective “rear” gesture that users recently encountered, and of which we have integrated an example below. In addition, Google claims that the new update also corrects a problem that prevented the dark mode from respecting the schedules defined by the user.

BP2A versions should also improve system stability and performance. However, Google did not specify the conditions under which these improvements are expected. In addition, Google joined the series of safety fixes of August 2025. Please consult the latest Pixel update bulletin to find out the common vulnerabilities and exhibitions (CVE) corrected by this month update.
