DuckDuckGo, the browser and search engine focused on privacy, has set up a new parameter that allows users to hide the images generated by the AI.
“Our philosophy concerning the functions of AI is” private, useful and optional “. Our goal is to help you find what you are looking for. It is up to you to decide the amount of AI you want in your life or if you don’t want it at all,” said the company on X last week.
To this end, DuckDuckGo has added a feature that allows you to easily filter the IA images, so that you do not have to see them. The new filter works with open-source blocking lists (such as Ublockorigin’s “nuclear” list and Ublacklist “Huge AI Blockist” to allow users to control the type of images they want to see.
This new feature does not eliminate the images generated by research AI, but considerably reduces the number of images of this type that appear in your research.
You can manage the control of the images generated by the AI in two ways. If you go to the DuckduckGo search site and search for an image, you can click on the drop -down menu Images generated by AI and select Hide. This option applies to each search.

If you want to delete the images generated by AI for all searches, click on the gear icon on the DuckDuckGoGo page, click on Manage (associated with AI features), then click the button Disabled To activate it. Once you have done this, all research will filter the images generated by AI.

This new feature is important because it is the first search engine to offer this type of control to the user. Google does not allow you to filter the images generated by AI in its research, and for those who prefer not to see this type of content, DuckDuckGo is therefore the best option. This is an important functionality, because more and more content generated by AI are included in research.
