Balbuzard and electric wires
The barely believable story, revealed by firefighters from British Columbia, delights the Canadian press. The incident occurred last Thursday near the municipality of Ashcroft when the fire soldiers are called for a fire in the great outdoors. “A quick investigation made it possible to determine the cause of this fire: a fish. Yes, you read well: a fish to whom something incredible happened! »Has fun on his Facebook page the Ashcroft firefighters service.
According to them, a fisherman, a kind of raptor, would have taken hold of its prey in a river 3 km before dropping it in full flight on a power line. The contact of the fish with the electric wires would then have caused a spark and small embers which would themselves have ignited the brush and dry herbs on the ground.

Another track, speculates the firefighters not without humor: the raptor “had enough raw fish and wanted to try the grilled fish”. Their photos actually show the dead fish on the ground, the carcass burned. The fisherman’s Balbuzard came out unscathed and continued his flight, still joking the firefighters.
They are more seriously welcoming that the absence of wind last week has quickly controlled this completely unusual fire in Western Canada, regularly, summer prey of important forest fires.
