In Switzerland, teleworking has never been so popular with employers. According to an analysis of the Indeed recruitment platform, the second quarter of 2025 marked a historic record: more than 14% of the positions offered now allow you to work remotely.

This figure represents a five-year multiplication of the flexible labor supply compared to the pre-Cavid era, consolidating the position of Switzerland as one of the European leaders in terms of hybrid professional models. “If companies manage to maintain this trajectory, Switzerland will be able to impose itself permanently as a reference place for flexible work models in Europe,” said Virginia SONDERGELD, expert in the labor market at Indeed, in an SRF article.

A striking contrast with other Western countries, where many companies recall their employees at the office, invoking a productivity gain. With its 14% of teleworking jobs, Switzerland is talling the United Kingdom and Germany, is ahead of France and the United States, and is at the same level as Canada.

Indeed, which claims more than 610 million users in more than 60 countries, recalls that this turn towards remote work could give Switzerland a sustainable competitive advantage, if this dynamic continues.
