It was the battle of combat Thursday afternoon in Place Saint-François in Lausanne, around the UBS building. Police intervened in force. Friday morning, municipal police from Lausanne provide some explanations. The operation “made it possible to exclude any security doubt”, after Big police intervention who blocked the place for half an hour.
The Vaudoise police station was informed of a potential hostage taking within the UBS building, on Place Saint-François. Thirty agents were then deployed via different groups such as the Dard, the motorcyclist group, the judicial police as well as the Lausanne police intervention group. The intervention ended shortly after 3 p.m. The spokesman Michel Gandillon announces that the prosecution has not opened a investigation.
Contacted, the police and UBS refer the ball. None of the two institutions wishes to express themselves on the trigger for this substantial intervention.
