« The Montreal Planetarium team is launching a brand new series of astronomical events entitled Telescopes meetings. And it’s free! “, Indicates by email Anne Bourgoin, communications officer at the Space for Life Communication and Marketing Division. “” The very first meeting, placed under the sign of the Perseids, will take place on August 11 and 12, 2025 from 9 p.m. to midnight (opening of the doors at 8:30 p.m.), good weather, bad weather. »
« This new regular meeting offers an immersive experience under the stars, designed to introduce the general public to the wonders of the night sky visible in an urban environment. Much more than a simple observation evening, it is a scientific foray into the world of shooting stars, with a free and diverse programming:
- Observation sessions with telescopes;
- Show hosted by the planetarium team every 30 minutes, in French and English;
- Scientific activities for the manufacture of seekers, meteorites and comets;
- Relaxation and observation corner on the grass accompanied by the comments of the animators of the planetarium and the volunteers of the Astronomy Society of the Montreal Planetarium (SAPM) on the starry sky. »
« This first part marks the start of a series of unforgettable evenings “, Completed Ms. Bourgoin.
