The public prosecutor has charged the co-president of Operation Libero, Sanija Ameti, damage to freedom of belief and cults. Last September, the 33 -year -old Zurich politician riddled a pious image representing Jesus and Mary with bullets.

(Keystone-ATS) According to an indictment, the investigation authority requires a suspended sentence of 100 days of 100 francs as well as a fine of 2,500 francs against the old green’liberal. The indictment was revealed Monday by the online site of 20 minute on the basis of a publication of the indictment by one of the complainants, the president of the Mass-Voll movement, Nicolas Rimoldi.

Act published on Instagram

With a compressed air gun, Sanija Ameti has shot the image from a catalog of an auction house, writes the prosecution. On Instagram, she then posted a photo of her act and her target riddled with bullets by adding the comment “Disable” in German.

According to the public prosecutor, the defendant turned the Christian faith to ridicule, humiliated it unnecessarily and was a wounding mischievous while making an “potential endangerment of freedom of religion”. Through her publication, she at least took into account the latter. Until a possible conviction, it benefits, however, from the presumption of innocence.

The date of the trial is not yet known. In addition to Mass-Voll, young UDCs are also one of the complainants.

Ex-Liberée licensed

Following the case, the president of the Vert’liberals Jürg Grossen demanded the exclusion of the party’s politician. An exclusion procedure was underway within the Zurich PVL, when the main interested party, who was a leading member, announced in January that she was leaving the party herself.

It still sits in the municipal parliament of Zurich. The case made him lose his job in a communication agency.
