Take part in the French Gut project and help to advance scientific research around the microbiota!

The microbiota-this set of microorganisms that populate our digestive tract-is at the heart of many studies. And for good reason: he would play a key role in the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases like diabetes, obesity, certain cancers, but also neurological disorders such as Parkinson, Alzheimer’s or depression.

To advance this research, the French GUT aims to build a database of 100,000 samples from people of all ages and profiles: men, women, children, elderly, sick or healthy. To date, more than 25,000 volunteers have already participated. But there is still a long way to go: men, young people aged 18 to 25 and very senior are still under-represented.

And that’s not all: in September, the French Gut launched a new part dedicated to children, called French Gut Kid, with the aim of collecting 10,000 pediatric samples by 2029.

Contribute to this study is to allow researchers to better understand the links between microbiota and health, and ultimately, to develop more precise diagnoses and personalized treatments.
