Tales of Xillia Remastered has just been announced and will be released this year – news

If the classicism of its scenario and the simplicity of its structure probably have not particularly watched, not to mention the fights which will not have the epic breath of a tales of arise, Tales of Xillia There remains a rather notable and friendly episode in the long saga of Bandai Namco. After a Tales of Vesperia first exclusive to the Xbox 360 in 2008 and a Tales of Graces first exclusive to Wii in 2009, the PS3 finally obtained son Tales of, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the series on September 8, 2011. A launch praised by substantial sales in Japan (half a million copies at launch).

The Dokidoki GrooveWorks studio took care of this remaster that will be released on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch and Steam. Nothing extravagant in the improvement program: the trailer mentions the presence of a destination icon and the possibility of deactivating the fights (which will have the effect of seeing our character go through the enemy). Other than that, there is a question of an automatic backup function and the presence of all DLC (except certain content under license).

Regarding technical and visual optimization, the game will run in 4K and 60 images per second on PS5 and Xbox Series X (up to 120 frames per second on PC). On Switch, the game will be limited to 30 frames per second, both in TV mode (1080p) and portable (720p). Note that if Japanese dubbing was absent in the dark years of the PS3, it will of course be part this time, just like the texts in French.

Let us add that Bandai Namco designated the period from December 2024 to December 2026 as that of the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the Tales of. The last episode, Tales of Arisehas become the biggest success in the series since its release in September 2021.
