The death of Krisztina Rády, ex-partner of Bertrand Cantat, found hanging at his home on January 10, 2010, has always left a doubt with his relatives. Fifteen years later, it is the Bordeaux prosecutor’s office to issue reservations about the reasons for this suicide. According to information from RTL, the court has decided to open a “preliminary investigation for voluntary violence by spouse” on the part of the singer of Noir Désir.
“It is a question of taking up the investigation, to hear the various protagonists and possibly to seek other potential victims in order to establish a judicial truth on this case,” said our colleagues, recalling that Bertrand Cantat was in his ex-wife, whom he had been divorced since 2002, the evening of the drama, after having served his sentence for the murder of Mary Trintignant.
In a press release, the prosecutor of the Republic of Bordeaux, Renaud Gaudeul, said that this reopening was notably motivated by the viewing of Netflix documentary, “the Cantat case”, containing “several affirmations and testimonies not appearing” in the four procedures already open to the circumstances of the death of Krisztina Rády, all classified without follow -up.

Married in 1997, the couple had separated shortly after the birth of their daughter, the singer having met actress Marie Trintignant. They had two children and never divorced.
