The TGV driver forgets to stop at the station: 80 passengers remain on the quay

A TGV that connected Brest to Paris Montparnasse did not stop as planned at the station in Lamballe in the Côtes d’Armor. 80 passengers were waiting to be able to get on board. The train went before their eyes without mark the stop.

Quai B, Lamballe station in the Côtes d’Armor. 80 passengers await the TGV which linked Brest to Paris Montparnasse on Saturday afternoon. The TGV Inoui 8636 must arrive at 5:42 p.m. At the hour H, the TGV comes far, approaches but it does not stop and continues its journey towards Paris.

Stupor on the platform for the 80 passengers just like, we imagine, for SNCF customers who were already on board and who wanted to go down to Lamballe-Armor station, about ten.

The staff then mobilized to find a solution. A TER parked near the station is mobilized in about twenty minutes. At 6:07 p.m., he left Lamballe station towards Rennes where a TGV was waiting for the 80 passengers. They were able to get on board and finally arrived at their place of destination without much delay.

For the passengers who were to go down, a TER took care of them at Rennes station and, once in Lamballe, a taxi paid by the SNCF was offered to customers who wanted it.

“This kind of incident is really exceptional,” said the SNCF Telegram. The railway company welcomes the responsiveness of its agents and apologizes to its customers for the inconvenience caused. The SNCF did not indicate the reason why the driver had missed his stop. It could be a “hiccup linked to tags”, specifies The telegram.
