Theodora unleashes Montreux Jazz Festival

Montreux was impatiently awaiting him and, for the occasion, had adapted access to his new free scene. Thus, unpublished in the history of the MJF for a “OFF” concert, a ticket office had been set up. The 550 tickets available had disappeared in a few minutes.

The culprit? The dazzling success of Theodora which, for a year, has been surprising: four concerts with closed counters at the Zenith in Paris, flame of the female revelation of the year or even gold record for his project “Bad Boy Lovestory (BBL)”, later increased in “Mega Bbl” – this acronym designating a surgical operation aimed at increasing the volume of the buttocks.

“Mwa, it’s Big Boss Lady, it’s not even a year old, I’m a study case for all labels. They saw me crazy but everything is possible for the one who believes,” wrote the 21 -year -old artist on Instagram, a few days before his concert at the MJF.

A held -colored outfit

Wednesday evening on stage, the native of Lucerne, dressed in a t-shirt decorated with the Swiss flag, rocked the public, drawing it on all the rhythms, between Hyperpop, RNB, Hip-hop, rap, but also Shatta or Bouyon.

“I’m happy to be with you tonight. I was told that I was too expected,” she said between two sounds. Very close to his audience on social networks, the artist is also in concert. “I have almost no more voices. I am at the end of my life, but I couldn’t do that to you. Today, it’s important that you sing with me,” she said.

Having become viral last November, the daring “Kongolessed under Bbl” easily echoed with the public, mostly below thirty. The young Lausanne singer Marie Jay, who will take the Spotlight scene on Friday, was also seen in the crowd.

From daring to sweetness

As a true “Bbl Mommy”, the Franco-Congolese singer chained the hits of her latest album: “243km/h”, “Do U Wanna?”, “My baby” or “Zou bisou”, her featuring with Jul. True melancholy breaks, “they all laugh at me” and “rare birds”, her duet with Juliette Armanet, came to soften the ardors of the public.

At Montreux Jazz Festival, Theodora will have charmed an audience won in advance, between “Twerk”, “Claps” and “Punchlines”. Needless to say, who is the “boss lady” as she claims herself in one of her texts: “My room is full to crack and yours is empty. I will launch careers like Billie Jean.”
