Problem: some customers had subscribed to a life subscription and probably expected that the mention “for life” was scrupulously respected instead of seeing their account disappear at the same time as Bulletvpn.

When the competitor takes care of compensation
Today, the Bulletvpn site only displays a message entitled ” End of Life“In which the supplier announces the immediate closure of his servers:” This decision was made after a meticulous examination of various factors, in particular the evolution of market demand, technological requirements and the sustainability of operations« .
BulletVPN does not mention any refund, no compensation except a 6 -month subscription offered to one of its competitors, Windscribe. BulletVPN specifies, however, that this initiative is from Windscriber alone and that there is no commitment or financial exchange or information between the two suppliers.
Let’s say it is doubly the shame for Bulletvpn. This fact, however, highlights the major drawback of these lifetime subscriptions, which are never really for life. It is above all a marketing strategy to attract customers and try to compete with the largest VPN suppliers on the market. In addition, none of the latter (NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Cyberghost VPN, Surfshark, etc.) offers life subscription. In such a competitive market, commercial survival sometimes does not hold much.
