During the night from Wednesday to Thursday, the team of Sporza, working in particular for the Belgian channel VRT, was the victim of a burglary. The motorcycle of a journalist as well as camera equipment has been stolen.
The alarm clock was difficult this Thursday morning for the team from the Sporza. In the aftermath of the 17th stage between Bollène and Valence, the employees of the Belgian sports program label were victims of a burglary on the Grenoble side. “The motorcycle on which Maarten Vangramberen had to report towards the Col de la Loze was stolen. There will therefore be no motorcycle report today during programs on VRT 1 and Radio 1” said Sporza this Thursday on his website, adding that the vehicle “was parked in front of the hotel” of the team.

But that’s not all, since equipment has also been stolen. “A break -in also took place in one of the VRT vehicles, hence the thieves won camera equipment” also specifies Sporza. “Our teams in France remain operational, but unfortunately they must continue their work with limited means” specifies the label. Note that the Vive Le Vélo team, a Belgian television program, has also been targeted, since lighting equipment has been stolen from their truck.
