Trois-Pistoles municipal campsite: a welcoming and wooded stopover a stone’s throw from the city center

In the heart of summer. Similarly, during the hot weather, a campsite that offers many wooded and shaded sites, a beautiful swimming pool to cool off and well -maintained infrastructure is really welcome. The campsite is well located. easy to find from Route 132: it is at the end of rue du Canon-Côté. You can access it very easily if you arrive from the west, taking rue Notre-Dame Ouest. It is a welcome stop when you make the road … and a very beautiful corner of the country.

As soon as we arrived on the campsite, the legendary hospitality of people in the region forces admiration. The reception manager. smiling and attentive, sees that the recording takes place at best and takes the time to answer questions from customers with kindness. Camping plan, pool bracelet, barrier, everything is explained. By the way, the campsite is watched 24 hours a day.

A stately land

The story of this well -established campsite dates back to the late 1960s. On the website. we learn that the provincial government bought a land of almost 4 million square feet from the lordship of the line of Jean Rioux, M^me Anita Rioux, to make a provincial campsite.

In the early 1980s. the campsite was sold to the municipality for the symbolic sum of a dollar, and management was entrusted to a non -profit organization, the association hunting and fishing of the Basques. A variety of sites

The old stately land now has 104 sites. which offer the three services (water, electricity 20 A or 30 A, sewers), 56 sites with the two services and 22 sites without services.

The sites are grouped in sections or loops, and seasonal campers occupy their own sector. Good size VR owners will like the “L” loop, called “the islands”. The path is wide and allows you to park with ease.

Campers with a roll-up tent. a small trailer or a small VR will appreciate the wooded and more intimate sites of the “E” loop, nicknamed “the baptisms”. Wooded sites for tents are in the center of the campsite. some of them are accessible on foot, to live a more rustic campsite.

Most sites in this campsite have no view of the sea. with the exception of a small sector occupied trois-pistoles municipal campsite: welcoming wooded by seasonal workers. A belvedere was fitted out near the “D” loop to enjoy the view of the bay.

Several sanitary blocks are distributed in the different sectors: they are equipped with free showers and very well maintained. Very practical, a kitchen shelter nicknamed “the umbrella” is in the “E” loop.

The swimming pool is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and the bath hat is compulsory. Get a bracelet at the reception.

The laundry room is near the swimming pool.

We have to leave our site before 1 p.m. on the day of departure.

There is a curfew and it is respected.

There are a large amount of garbage cans. recycling bins on camping and bag distributors so that campers have their dog’s cocas in a responsible manner.
