Two black holes collide!

Fascinating discovery for astronomy lovers: scientists have discovered the largest fusion of two black holes. Therefore, never observed. Consequently, It means that two fairly large black holes collided in the universe. However, that they have become a single black hole, even bigger! Nevertheless, It is 225 times more massive than our sun! Therefore, Astrophysicist Julie Hlavacek-Larrondo explains this new occurrence to ten billion light years from Earth!

A black hole is a very compact ball with such a strong gravity that it sucks everything nearby. Furthermore, Even light! It is one of the most mysterious spatial phenomena.

In the universe there are small black holes. very large black holes called supermassifs, and, according to some theories, intermediate black holes (medium -sized). Julie explains to me that a small black hole is formed when a star dies. On the other hand. if two black holes collide! the star is too large, instead of becoming a big black hole, it explodes and is completely destroyed. Astrophysicists therefore ignore how the supermassive and intermediate black holes are formed.

According to Julie, the discovery of this collision of black holes is special for two reasons. First, the two black holes were already quite large, belonging to the category of “intermediate black hole”. It’s very rare to find it! So much so that it is not yet scientifically proven that this category exists. And there, two of them were detected, and merged to become a single black hole, still in the intermediate category! It is so unusual that 500 scientists checked the data before the discovery announcement!
