It was by observing his environment that the young Carolo found inspiration. Formerly a highly frequented commercial artery, rue de la Montagne in Charleroi has become a desert. The major brands there were all migrated to the new Rive Gauche shopping center, leaving the sometimes imposing buildings abandoned. Among them, a facade attracts its attention: only the ground floor is adorned with windows, the floors, they have a large blind wall. Lou would see a vegetable wall there. And not only to make it pretty. Bringing back vegetation in the city is also responding to a stake in global warming: The vegetation has a unique power, that of capturing CO2. The idea germinated but as a good management engineer, Lou quickly asked the question of the financing of this plant wall. Who would be ready to pay 1000 euros per m2 for the cause? This is where Lou’s observation sense comes again. The well -located blind walls welcome advertising panels everywhere. What if it was the ad that financed its plant walls? The idea is there, remains to transform it into a project. This will be the subject of his end -of -studies work.
