Three days after having tragically lost her little sister mortally Happée by a motorist, Andréanne Pelletier delivers a vibrant call for caution on the roads.
Her sister, Rosalie Pelletier, lost her life on Tuesday in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures during a bicycle exit. She was 16 years old.
There is too much aggressiveness, speeding and steering wheel phones
notes Andréanne Pelletier who was one of the two other cyclists present at the time of the deadly collision.
You have to stop blaming the cyclists, because it is not they who drive a deadly transportation.
I would so much like to make sure that people, motorists and cyclists, become more attentive on the road
she implores in a message transmitted to Radio-Canada.
We must not forget that a car is a weapon
she says. To use it safely, you have to be careful and pay our full attention to the road.
No braking
Like his boyfriend, Jules Deslauriers, who was also present during the drama, Andréanne also took stock of the sequence of events. I would also like to correct how the accident went
she says.
Relatives of the victim filed flowers on Thursday at the scene of the accident.

Tuesday afternoon, her sister and her boyfriend and she pedal in the direction of Girard path, a street perpendicular to Route 138. They had to go through the Petit-Village North because of the work.
We only had a few hundred meters before going to the Girard path
she recalls.
Arriving on the outskirts of Route 138, on a space covered with gravel About two meters from the shoulder
the trio stops on for drinking a little water.
She then decides to cross the road to resume her way, in the same direction as traffic. She stops again to wait for her sister and boyfriend, always on the other side. According to the testimony of Jules Deslauriers, the two only expect that a vehicle passes before crossing in turn.
A car then arrived in the opposite direction to go to the Gravel, hitting my sister and ending up in the ditch. No braking
she recalls.
The rugged white vehicle (right) finished its race in the ditch.

My beautiful love Rosalie
At the end of the afternoon, Andréanne published a few lines on social networks at the end of afternoon in order to pay a touching tribute to her youngest. My beautiful love Rosalie, my adored little sister, I love you endlessly
she begins.
In a message full of love, she remembers a Young brilliant woman, empathetic, loving, smiling, and so on.
I’m afraid of forgetting your smell, your beautiful face, your voice and many memories that we both share. But I know you watch over us, we feel your presence everywhere
she regrets.
She simply concludes: You will always stay in our hearts Rosalie. I love you.
