The Red Devils will play their qualification match for the 2026 World Cup against Northern Macedonia on October 10 at Planet Group Arena, renamed Kaa Gent Arena for the UEFA rules on naming rights.
It will be the first time that the national team will have played in the current stadium of the Gantoise. The Belgian Football Union (URBSFA) formalized information this Thursday.
This meeting is part of the “Tour of Belgium”, an operation aimed at bringing the national team closer to its supporters by playing in different cities of the country.

After a match against Ukraine in Genk last March and another planned at the Lotto Park in Anderlecht against Kazakhstan on September 7, the selection will therefore settle down in Ghent.
The Red Devils have not played in the city since 2011, at the time when they were playing in the old stadium of the Gantoise, Otenstadion.
On the sporting level, Belgium is currently third in its group with 4 points in two games, behind North Macedonia (8 points) and Wales (7 points), which each have two more games.
In June, Rudi Garcia’s men had drew 1-1 in Skopje before winning 4-3 against Wales in a spectacular match in Brussels.
