The sky is still gray in many places this Wednesday. However, the sun is already in starting blocks. Indeed, from Thursday, a heat wave will touch Switzerland and should last at least until the middle of next week.
This Wednesday, maximum temperatures are 22 degrees to the north, 24 degrees to the west and 27 degrees in the south. According to “Meteonews”, these temperatures will quickly take the elevator in the coming days. As of Thursday, a high pressure crest will park in the Mediterranean, bringing hot and dry air in central Europe. Consequence: a lot of sun and temperatures clearly increasing.
Friday, the thermometer will reach the 30 degree mark on a large part of the territory, and this weekend, up to 32 degrees are expected. According to current weather models, this summer and hot time is expected to last for a good part of next week. What rejoice those who had planned to go to the Street Parade of Zurich.
Note that temperatures will remain bearable at night since they will not exceed 20 degrees, at least in rural areas. In cities, they could, however, be a little higher.
