A 21-year-old former student opened the fire and killed eleven people, including nine pupils between the ages of 14 and 17, a teacher and finally himself. A week after the tragedy, an interreligious commemoration took place in the Graz Cathedral, in which representatives of the Catholic, Protestant and Islamic faith communities came together.
