Anti-Semitic remarks of a Palestinian student in Sciences-Po Lille: the young woman left France for Qatar this Sunday

Student Gazaouie Nour Attalah, who arrived in France in mid-July in order to integrate Sciences Po Lille, left the territory this Sunday, August 3 for Qatar, after the revelation of old anti-Semitic remarks on her social networks, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

The Gazaouie student who arrived in France as part of a scholarship before old anti -Semitic publications on her social networks left France on Sunday for Qatar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

“The Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, underlined the unacceptable nature of the proposals relayed before her entry into French territory by Ms. Nouria Attaalah, Gazaouie student. In view of their gravity, Ms. Attaalah could not remain on the national territory. She left France today to join Qatar and continue her studies”wrote the Quai d’Orsay in a press release.

The ministry “Thanks to the Qatari authorities for their decisive cooperation”. “Nouria Attaalah left national territory. She was not his place. I said, we did it”said Jean-Noël Barrot in a message on X.

Student and scholarship

The young woman, benefiting from a student visa and a government scholarship as part of a program intended for Gazaouis students, was to join Sciences Po Lille at the start of the school year. She arrived in France on July 11, according to a French diplomatic source.

But the discovery of publications calling for killing the Jews on social networks in the past two years, eliminated since, has led to its unsubscription, a judicial investigation for the apology of terrorism, and an investigation to determine why it had not been detected upstream.

AFP has not been able to confirm the screenshots allocated to this student by Internet users and the media. Sciences Po Lille said on Wednesday that “proposals on the girl’s social networks are confirmed”, without providing more details.

“Profiles have a survey.”

The lively controversy raised by this case brought Jean-Noël Barrot to announce on Friday that France has been frozen all its evacuation programs from Gaza pending the conclusions of a survey on the faults which prevented the detection of these publications.

Questioned by AFP, the Quai d’Orsay did not specify how many people were affected by this decision, invoking reasons of confidentiality.

Moreover, “All the profiles that have entered France will be the subject of a new verification”he added, while France has welcomed hundreds of Gazaouis since the outbreak of war between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, in retaliation for the latter’s attacks against Israel on October 7, 2023.
