Three people were arrested following searches related to the war of drugs which made it possible to seize several firearms and drugs of all kinds.
The Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) was accompanied by the tactical intervention group during the arrest of three men aged 32 to 37 around 5:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
Two of them are always detained and should appear in the afternoon for crimes related to firearms and also, possibly, to drug trafficking.
“The third suspect was released without indictment,” said Pierre-Olivier Lévesque, spokesperson for the SPVQ.
The police corps carried out three searches during the day in the Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures sector.
These searches have enabled the authorities to get their hands on three revolvers, a 12 -caliber rifle, a truncated rifle, a dummy rifle similar to a real weapon and several ammunition.
Authorities also seized more than 125 grams of cocaine, 75 grams of Crystal Meth, 210 grams of solid methamphetamine, 200 vapoteuses, 12,000 smuggling cigarettes and several prescription medication tablets.
