The municipality of Evolène wants to provide AROLLA station with a parking area to overcome, for this year, to the closure of the station camping announced on Sunday. Neither the place nor the opening date has, for the time being, communicated.
(Keystone-ATS) This provisional area will be accompanied by management measures, such as: display, markup, installation of temporary sanitary facilities, on -site collection and tourist information service. “It will be managed by the Tourist Office,” said Evolène president Virginie Gaspoz in Keystone-Ats, completing the press release sent on Wednesday.
By offering this provisional relocation on a private plot, the town aims to maintain accommodation capacity, to fight against wild camping and to reassure tourists. “Hoteliers told me that some tourists wanted to cancel their reservation fearing a Blatn No2,” reveals Virginie Gaspoz.
This solution should allow the municipality and the operators of the now closed campsite to find a lasting option for 2026.
