THE Asteroid Days held from Friday to yesterday in Luxembourg. On this occasion, the Asteroid Foundation had invited the public to a three -day program dedicated to exploration and spatial discovery with the participation of astronauts, scientists and experts in the space.
Asteroid Foundation benefits from the support of the Luxembourg space agency (LSA). This edition has highlighted the impact of space on our earthly life, as well as the importance of asteroids to better understand our solar system, protect our planet and promote a sustainable use of resources both in space and on earth.
Recognized by the United Nations and celebrated each year on June 30, Asteroid Day Commemorate the impact of an asteroid that occurred in Toungouska, in Siberia, in 1908, which constitutes the greatest impact recorded in history.
Many activities were planned at the Da Vinci forum, the Philharmonie and yesterday all day at the Cercle Cité.
The public, young and less young, was able to meet scientists and those who bring the passion for space and the solar system here in Luxembourg.
Many practical workshops were also planned. The event has once again been a success, further anchoring spatial passion in the country.
