How to get to Athletissima without finishing stuck in traffic
Thousands of spectators are expected for the Lausanne meeting. The police recommend the use of public transport to avoid traffic problems.

Thousands of spectators are expected at the Pontaise Olympic stadium in Lausanne, Wednesday for the 50e edition ofAthletissima. A special traffic and parking device is set up to facilitate access to the site.
Traffic restrictions will affect several areas around the Pontaise Olympic stadium.

However, Lausanne municipal police recommends “strongly” to people to the event to favor public transport in order to avoid engorgement of traffic. For those who come by car, specific directives have been issued.
Already limited traffic
As of now, traffic is already prohibited on the way to the Grandes-Roches, only the beneficiaries which can access it from Avenue du Mont-Blanc. Parking restrictions are also in force on the avenue des Grandes-Roches, Avenue du Vélodrome, Chemin du Bois-Gentil, the Vélodrome parking lot and the Plaines-du-Loup route.
On Wednesday, on the day of the event, motorists will be directed to the parking lots of the Vélodrome and downtown. Specific parking areas for two-wheelers will be fitted out on the Plaines-du-Loup route and on the Bois-Gentil chemin. A sector reserved for disabled people will be available in front of the Marronniers stadium.
Tuesday, a free city event in Ouchy
The day before the main meeting, Tuesday, from 6 p.m., a City Event Free will highlight the pole jump instead of navigation. For this competition organized in an “idyllic framework”, the police also recommends the use of public transport.
