Avatar 3: The reign of fire
The first poster, first broadcast on the official X/Twitter account ofAvatar Before being relayed in the press, reveals for the first time a clear portrait of Varang, embodied by Oona Chaplin. The visual recalls that of the other components … in darker: ocher complexion, piercing look, flame reflections on the iris of the NA’VI warrior … Varang already imposes, and there is a fierce presence. She seems to embody the new ambivalence that Cameron intends to inject into the saga, revealing that Not all na’vis are necessarily good.
In a short teaser circulating on social networks, we hear Varang pronounce this sentence: « Your goddess has no dominion here » (Your goddess has no power here), which says a lot about the not at all friendly intentions of the characters. It is presented as the leader of the ash clan, a people who would be the antithesis of the Metkayina or Omaticaya. The members of the ash clan are a people of survivors, nomads, shaped by extreme environmental tests and a much more radicalized relationship to the sacred.
In addition to the arrival of Oona Chaplin in this third episode of the saga Avatarwe will find Sam Worthington (Jake Sully) and Zoë Saldaña (Neytiri) who resume their role, alongside Sigourney Weaver (Kiri), Stephen Lang (Colonel Quaritch, still alive) and Kate Winslet (Ronal).
