The new coach of FC Lausanne-Sport is called Peter Zeidler.
The 62-year-old German follows Ludovic Magnin, who has switched to FC Basel.
After Sion and St. Gallen, it is the third coaching station in the Super League for Zeidler.

FC Lausanne-Sport quickly found what he was looking for in the coaching position in search of a successor for Ludovic Magnin, who was immigrated to Basel. The Vaud presented Peter Zeidler on Saturday as the new trainer.

«I am very happy and motivated. I can’t wait to start work, »explained Zeidler on the club website. Officially, the 62-year-old will take the office on Monday morning when the Vaud starts the 2025/26 season. The Lausanne responsible Zeidler described Zeidler as a “desired solution”.

Zeidler knows the Super League well thanks to engagements at Sion (2016/17) and St. Gallen (2018 to 2024). With the Eastern Switzerland, he narrowly missed the championship title in the 2019/20 season and led the club to the cup final twice. In these, however, he went off the pitch as a loser.

Most recently, the former French teacher Zeidler was involved in VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga. After just one point from the first seven games and the cup out in the first round, the German was released in October. Bochum rose as the bottom of the table at the end of the season.
