A high -end smartphone and real spearhead
With the Oppo Reno 13 PRO 5G, the brand manages to place itself in a very special niche since it is what could be qualified as entry -level high -end. We feel that it is a premium smartphone, but which is not the most sophisticated either. However, it offers a solid proposal, starting with its screen. It is an AMOLED 2800 x 1272 pixel panel refreshed at 120 Hz that can be used in 60 or 90 Hz, just as it is possible to lower resolution to 2374 x 1080 pixels to save battery.
Battery which could not be more generous since it has a capacity of 5,800 mAh which can hold a day and a half in intensive use and therefore almost two days if you are not too much on it. Without counting the fast Supervooc 80W recharging which would allow, depending on the brand, to return to 100 % in 49 minutes. Too bad there is no wireless, on high-end, it is a shame.
Oppo begins to feel comfortable with AI
The smartphone runs with a Dimensity 8350 processor accompanied by 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of memory. This allows him to use Android 15 without problem and therefore to call on Gemini, the AI of Google via a sidebar. There, you can use many AI functions, such as summarizing, translate what is on the screen, do a voice translation, very practical when you travel abroad. The use is a bit limited because some functions are not available in French. But in terms of photo touch -ups, for example, it works very well.
On the photo side, the Oppo Reno 13 PRO 5G is equipped with an optical block composed of a main sensor of 50 Mp with optical stabilization, a 3.5x telephoto lens (50 MP, OIS) and an ultra-angle of 8 MP. In video, the 4K at 60 IPS is available, but stabilization requires switching to Full HD. Finally, an underwater mode is offered, although salt water remains not recommended, even if it is certified IP68.
