In Dinéault, farmers organize this Friday a collective grill to protest against the arrival of Sandrine Rousseau, accused of despising their profession and their lifestyles.

Relayed on social networks, this invitation aims to bring together farmers in front of the field where must be built the maison of the environmentalist, as revealed by the Sunday newspaper.
On the poster, we can also read: “Because we like coal (vegetable … but above all in embers), wood fire, well -bleeding beef, and the freedom to find ourselves between hungry carnivores” – A wink assumed to the words of Sandrine Rousseau, who regularly describes the barbecue and the red meat as “Symbols of toxic virility”.
Controversial remarks on farmers
This rally comes a few weeks after a highly commented statement by the deputy, where she claimed to have it “Nothing to fart from profitability” farmers: “I think that is not the subject. The profitability of agriculture by chemicals to the detriment of soils, biodiversity and our health, it is not profitability in fact, it is dirty money”, she had declared.
The event is organized at a place called Le Guilly, in Dinéault, a municipality of around 1,800 inhabitants in the middle of the agricultural area. For many local farmers, the arrival of the deputy in this rural territory is perceived as a provocation, even a contradiction with her political positions.
An open letter from a future neighbor
In an open letter published on Facebook, Patrik Sastre-Coady expressed his amazement: “Surprised to discover a neighbor of national notoriety in the environment of the ecology of the media world, all eager for punchlines. Surprised by her choice, reside in Breton rural areas, very agricultural, very contested, very criticized, very despised. Surprised by this immersive choice among polluters, murderers, dirty money generators”.
He directly challenges Sandrine Rousseau: “Madame Rousseau, did you not make a mistake by choosing an agricultural commune (a house in the middle of the woods would have been undoubtedly more conducive)? How do you think that the majority of Aboriginal polyculture-breeding professionals will appreciate your arrival?”
An icy welcome in perspective
The breeder concludes however by ensuring that he would welcome “With pleasure and caution” the deputy in her farm, adding: “I will explain to him with pedagogy the ins and outs of organic outdoor farming with wolves in Finistère. The choice to cultivate good neighborhood relationships will therefore be the fruit of your own choice and your responsibility.”
In this context, many farmers in the town call for blocking the installation of Sandrine Rousseau, perceived by many as an elected representative with the reality of the rural world.
