The arrest was carried out by the OCLCO, the fugitive research brigade, and the division of organized and specialized crime of the Rhône, confirmed the prosecution later. No one was injured during the operation.
The fugitive was placed in police custody of “escape from organized gang and participation in an association of criminals”. Since Sunday, July 13, the man has been the subject of a red notice from Interpol.
His accomplice, meanwhile, was not with him and was not arrested.

Born in 2004 in Mamoudzou in Mayotte, Elyazid A. served within the Corbas prison several imprisonment sentences, for murder in an organized gang and infringement of arms legislation.
He escaped from the remand center by hiding in a large bag of laundry belonging to a co-discovered and took advantage of the lifting of the latter to escape. His escape was noticed 24 hours later by the prison staff, a latency time that some decade to the prison overcrowding that affects this establishment.
