Bienne (BE)A car rushes into the window of a restaurant
The driver came out of a downtown parking lot on Wednesday afternoon. The accident was four injured, including one reached seriously.
Wednesday July 9, 2025, shortly before 3:50 p.m., a car accident occurred in Bienne, rue Ernst-Schüler.
For a reason still undetermined, while the driver of the vehicle came out of a parking lot, she continued her race straight and came into a frontal collision with the window of a restaurant located opposite.
Three people inside the restaurant were injured, one seriously and two slightly. As for the driver of the car, she was slightly injured. All the victims were taken by ambulance to the hospital, said the Bernese cantonal police in a statement.
Bienne’s professional firefighters also intervened in order to secure the premises and stop water leaks. The vehicle and the building have undergone significant material damage.
In order to allow the commitment of the intervention forces, the area affected by the accident was completed.
An investigation was opened by the Bernese cantonal police in order to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident.
