The Red Cross and Caritas prepare the second phase of help in Blatten

Caritas and the Red Cross announced this Tuesday a new phase of aid in favor of people affected by the claw claw May 28.

This “transition” aid will make it possible to pay contributions to the inhabitants of the village to finance provisional measures such as housing or urgent purchases. People with low incomes “run the risk of falling into poverty due to high costs or losses suffered,” said the press release.
At the beginning of June, an emergency aid of 2000 francs per capita had been distributed by Caritas, the Red Cross and the chain of happiness, allowing the victims of the disaster to make basic necessities. To date, the two organizations have collected 3.8 million francs.
