Bordeaux prison: a 20 -year -old arrested for the murder of a fellow prisoner

A 20 -year -old who has been detained for two years in Bordeaux prison for stabbing a classmate is likely to extend his stay behind bars, who has just been arrested for the murder of a fellow man committed a few weeks ago.

Abdoulaye Keita was apprehended on Wednesday at the detention center by crimes of crimes against the person of the Sûreté du Québec.

The police informed him that they arrested him for the murder of Sid Ahmed Moualek, wildly attacked at the end of April in the G5 sector of the prison establishment.

Keita has appeared by videoconferencing since this prison Thursday morning. He did not seem particularly concerned with being accused of second degree murder, spontaneously responding to his lawyer “it’s okay, no stress”.

Craft weapon

The accused would have attacked Moualek using an artisanal weapon, according to our information.

Very seriously injured, Sid Ahmed Moualek finally returned the soul almost two weeks after the events. He was 21 years old.

At the time of murder, Moualek had just started his four -month sentence for vehicle flight and possession of a firearm.

A banal argument between the two detainees would be behind the assault, which turned out to be fatal.

Also according to our information, the suspect in this case has been serving since last July a 42-month sentence for having stabbed one of his classmates inside Amos high school in April 2023 in the Montreal-North district.

The school welcomes students aged between 16 and 20 wishing to finish their secondary studies.

The violent assault at the start of the day had caused a whole fighting in the sector. The 19 -year -old victim had suffered serious injuries in the assault, while the suspect had fled.

Abdoulaye Keita, who was at the time 18 years old, then gave himself up to the police by presenting himself in a neighborhood position a few hours after the event.

He will be back at the Montreal courthouse at the end of August for the rest of the procedures.
