The CFFs offer station walks at the Groye in the Broye
The free book offers six hikes imagined by Pierre Corajoud, geographer and writer specializing in walks.

On the occasion of the end of the first stage of the modernization work of The Broye linethe SBBs have published a guide Entitled “Station Station walks in the Broye”. This book offers six hikes imagined by Pierre Corajoud – geographer and writer specializing in walks – allowing you to discover the beauties of the region, on foot, with the departure and arrival points the stations of the line.
“We wanted to mark the occasion for this magnificent region,” explains Jean-Philippe Schmidt, spokesperson for the SBB. The idea was to offer something nice both for pendulums and for people who want to visit this country. ”
In the guide, each of the six walks is precisely described: duration, length and drop. Supporting card, Pierre Corajoud takes the readers step by step. All sites of interest are indicated.
From 2023 to 2030, SBBs will modernize twelve stations in the Broye, and 90 kilometers of railroad tracks will be automated and connected to the Romand Operation Center of Renens. “La Broye, rich in history and landscapes, thus sees its stations become multimodal access points to explore an economic, tourist and cultural boom, slides David Fattebert, CFF regional director for French -speaking Switzerland. I am from Broye. My childhood memories are filled with the walks that I made in its hilly landscapes. ”
