The Ministry of Health launched, on Sunday evening, a call to vigilance in the face of increased risks of respiratory diseases and circulating viruses, in connection with weather variations and the increase in temperatures recorded in several regions of the country.
In a press release published on its official Facebook page, the ministry recommends that citizens adopt a series of preventive gestures, including regular hand washing, the ventilation of closed spaces (housing and workplace) and the abstention of any self -medication, in particular the taking of antibiotics without medical advice.
The health authorities also insist on the importance of maintaining the vaccination calendars up to date, especially for children, the elderly and pregnant women. They warn against the trivialization of symptoms such as fever, cough or respiratory difficulties, inviting citizens to consult a doctor in the event of the appearance of these signs in order to prevent any aggravation.
In addition, the ministry alerts the dangers linked to the current heat wave, including the risks of dehydration and insolation, especially in the most vulnerable groups (children, the elderly, pregnant women).
He thus recommends: drink abundantly of water, avoid any prolonged exposure to the sun between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., wear light and light -color clothes, as well as hats and sunglasses and stay in ventilated or air -conditioned spaces. In case of symptoms such as dizziness, headache, fever or strong feeling of thirst, immediate medical consultation is recommended.
