Canada wins the Hopman Cup

(Paris) Le Canada by Bianca Andreescu and Félix Auger-Aliassime won the Hopman Cup on Sunday for the first time in its history, a mixed tennis test by Nations, beating Italy in the final which was playing at home.

The meeting was played in the decisive double, won in two rounds by the Canadian pair 6-3, 6-3.

In the simple, Bianca Andreescu (1e World player, but ex-world world, victorious of the United States Internationals in 2019) had taken the measure of Lucia Bronzetti (70e), but his compatriot Félix Auger-Aliassime (28e) then lost to the super break of equality against Flavio Cobolli (19e).
