For a year, Carte Blanche was given to “24 -hour” photographers, the “Tribune de Genève” and “morning Sunday” to tell Vaud or Geneva otherwise. Moreover, Ninth part: “acceleration” by Jean-Paul Guinnard.

The construction of the highway drew a line through the crushing, cutting it in half. Therefore, I attended the construction. in more than 20 years I have traveled it thousands of times, and noted its impact on the region.
If the arrival of industry has not been as fast as expected. road traffic has however greatly increased, especially due to the establishment of Hard Discounters logistics centers. It is a round of trucks, which circulate to feed stores from all of French -speaking Switzerland.

In addition to the speed of movement of goods. people, near the highway, things also accelerate in the fields. Agricultural production is more intensive, with increasing yields. The plain has become very homogeneous with a great loss of biodiversity.
It is in this space a few hundred meters wide along the highway. between Avenches and Payerne, always accompanied by traffic noise, carte blanche our photographers: “acceleration” that I carried out this work, and that I followed the traces of this acceleration.
