To take advantage of chatgpt freely, without having a default model by default and various limitations, you must go to Chatgpt more or pro – either monthly subscriptions fixed at respective prices of € 23 and € 229. To reach a wider audience, Openai has now chosen to offer a more affordable formula, falling below the € 5 mark per month. Very good news, but which is currently reserved for other regions than France and Europe.

The low-cost version of Chatgpt is there… and not there at the same time

Via Twitter/X on August 12, 2025, the engineer Tibor blaho shared the arrival of an ultra-accessible subscription signed OpenAi: Chatgpt Go. Proposed in India at a price of 399 ₹ (rupees) per month, or around € 4.40, this formula has everything to seduce free, demanding but not too much users.

We note that the latter adds only four profits from the free version:

• Send more queries and files
• Generate more images
• Extended memory
• Advanced data analysis

However, we keep access to chatgpt 5 without the most advanced reasoning models and the fastest processing speed, generation of videos with Sora, project management/tasks/gpts or codex – capacities always limited to formulas Plus et Pro.

For the moment, Chatgpt Go is limited “To certain regions of the world”including India. Openai thus seems ready to tackle countries with lower purchasing power or even under development.

Now remains to wait to see if this affordable formula will reach America or even Europe – just to generate more money and make Internet users even more dependent.
